Citizens Firearms Classes

The Cullman County Sheriff’s Office “Citizens Firearms Class” allows Cullman County residents the opportunity to become familiar with the laws of the State of Alabama and also the firearms they own. The class is hosted, free of charge, by the Cullman County Sheriff’s Office and is held twice a year.

The class is a two-part class with Part I being classroom/lecture and Part II moving to the range for practical skills taught by Cullman County Sheriff’s Office Deputies.

We believe that it is the responsibility of every gun owner to be as educated and as safe as possible. This course is designed for anyone that wants to enhance their knowledge of firearms, their safe handling, and the safe storage of guns, and their understanding of Alabama gun laws.
